Hi, there, I’m Corey McComb. I’ve been writing and sharing creative work online since 2015. I’m currently writing fiction and growing my network online. Here on Substack, I’m sharing short stories and essays on what I’m learning and thinking about.

I wrote my first book, Productivity Is For Robots, in 2020. It’s about unlearning the hustle and grind dogma of “productivity at all costs” and realigning with what it means to be human. It was a #1 bestseller on Amazon and I’m really proud of it.

After it came out, TEDx invited me to give a talk, which is a quick and easy way to digest the main ideas. You can watch it here: How To Stay Human |Corey McComb | TEDx Temecula

I still believe and recommend the ideas in the book, but I don’t spend much time thinking about them anymore. My main focus (for now) is learning new things, finishing my first book of short fiction, and getting ready to be a Dad (send recs)!

I can’t say exactly what the theme of everything I’ll be sharing here will be, but here are a few past essays I think offer the type of material and tone you can expect:

And if you like short fiction, check out the stories here.

I hope you subscribe and if do you, please say hello via email or on X!
